Central Valley Health offers a comprehensive array of maternal & child health services designed to support families from pregnancy through early childhood including:

Lactation Support

Consults with our Certified Lactation Counselors (CLCs), as well as access to limited breastfeeding and pumping supplies, are available for free at our main office in Jamestown. Appointments are required. For more information on Lactation Support Services, visit here:

Child Safety & Prevention

CAR SEAT SAFETY

Our Certified Car Seat Technicians (CPST) provide free car seat check by appointments at our main office during business hours to help you safely install your child’s car seat. A limited number of new car seats are available for distribution at a reduced rate. Appointments are preferred. For more information on our car seat program visit:

BIKE HELMET SAFETY

Youth bike helmets and helmet fittings are available for free at our main office through a variety of generous community donors. For more information on our bike helmet program visit:

SAFE SLEEP

Safe sleep education and free crib distribution for low-income families is available to help reduce the risk of injury and death of infants due to unsafe sleep environments. Crib kits are available for families in need of a safe sleep space for a baby under 1 year of age.

IMMUNIZATIONS

It is a priority that all recommended vaccinations are available for every child, either through insurance or for free through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. Our office offers flexible clinic hours, school outreach, and immunization events — all while helping parents meet requirements and maintain proper documentation for their child’s immunizations. SPORTS PHYSICALS

Sports physicals for participants of North Dakota school sanctioned sports. CVHD can bill medical health insurance for the appointment (Sanford Health Plan, BCBS, or Medicaid only) or the cash price is $40. Appointments are required. For more information and the required paperwork visit:

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

A supplemental food program that aims to safeguard the health of low-income women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating, and referrals to health care. For more information visit:
