Bike Helmet Safety

Pedestrian safety is a priority of Central Valley Health. Through the helmet safety program, we educate children, families, and community members about the importance of wearing properly fitted helmets while biking, scootering, skateboarding, rollerblading, and beyond.

Youth bike helmets and helmet fittings are available for free at our main office. The helmets we distribute are made possible through a variety of generous community donors, including the Jamestown Optimist Club.

Why Helmets Matter?

Each year, thousands of preventable head injuries occur due to bicycle accidents. Wearing a helmet reduces the risk of serious head injury by nearly 85%. Our program promotes lifelong safety habits by encouraging helmet use early and often.
